We are currently seeking a creative and analytical data scientist to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you will leverage your problem-solving skills to extract and deliver value from our vast data resources. A key part of your role will be to demonstrate business value by building Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and transitioning them into production. Additionally, you will contribute significantly to the development of our new intelligent sales agent. Our beautiful office is situated in the vibrant Watt The Firms site in Ghent, Belgium, a hub of startups and innovative companies.
Responsibilities
- Utilize our data resources to generate actionable insights that drive business value
- Demonstrate the business value of your work by building MVPs and transitioning them into production
- Contribute to the design and development of our new intelligent sales agent
- Stay up to date with the latest technological advancements and apply this knowledge to your work
- Use advanced statistical methods and models to analyze and interpret complex data sets
- Collaborate effectively with our engineering and business teams to implement data-driven solutions
Requirements
- You hold a Master of Science degree in Computer Science Engineering or an equivalent field, or have equivalent professional experience
- You have strong problem-solving abilities and a creative approach to tackling complex challenges
- You possess strong technical skills and have an excellent understanding of data analysis tools and machine learning techniques
- Fluent in Python, (My)SQL and Git
- You are highly communicative and capable of articulating the business value of your work
- Proficiency in English
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP
- Experience deploying machine learning models in production environments
- Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Experience experimenting with Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Familiarity with Python libraries, including Transformers, NumPy, and Pandas
- Experience with recommendation systems
